Glorious Return

Wow, it's really been a long time since I've updated this- 9 months! Enough to have the baby my grandma thinks I quit smoking to have (she's convinced- she asked me when I was due today on the phone).

Anyway, I'm back and I'm not going to bore you with why I've been gone and what I've been doing. I just wanna talk about some weird shit. Here's an article I found today.. disclaimer: this is NOT intended to be offensive in any way: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/08/national/main2901787.shtml
You'll have to copy and paste the link because every time I try to post a link on here for some reason it just disappears in the finished product. Sorry, bro.

This man was crossing the street in a wheelchair and got stuck on a semi-truck... which continued to drive... at 50 mph... with him on it (luckily, he was unharmed- but he is in a wheelchair for life). A few questions sprang to mind when I read this:
a) how did he get attached to the grill like that?! Really? How did he find himself in that position?! The only way I see that happening is him riding down the street trying to race the semi.
b) How did the driver not see him next to the vehicle? I'm sorry, but if you are operating a GIANT motor vehicle- and if you see the photo, it is GIANT- you should probably be aware of your surroundings. Maybe I'm wrong and that's asking too much of said driver.
c) how much fun (minus the thinking you might die) do you think that man had on that short ride? Seriously. Thank God he's okay, but that was probably the ride of his life in more than one way. That's probably more fun than most 21-year olds have in their entire year of finally being 21... beats waiting in a four hour line at 6 Flags.

Don't worry- I'll be back. Sorry for emotionally scarring you with attachment issues, Toni.
